Team Race Title

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Capping its perfect weekend with its third conference championship, Stanford sailing went undefeated to secure the PCCSC Team Race title on Sunday.
 
Stanford went a perfect 9-0 against UC Santa Barbara, Hawaii and UC San Diego. Jack Parkin, Telis Athanasopoulos Yogo and Michelle Lahrkamp skippered the Cardinal boats, while AnaClare Sole, Patricia Gerli, Abigail Tindall, Sammy Pickell and Ashton Borcherding served as crews.
 
Stanford had the top finishing boat in seven of its nine victories, and had the top two finishers four times. The Cardinal finished 1-2-3 in each of the matchups with UC San Diego.
 
The title gives Stanford its seventh-straight sweep of each of the PCCSC Championship regattas, as the team won the coed and women's championships on Saturday.
 
The Cardinal takes a brief break from team racing, as it travels to Rhode Island for the ICSA Singlehanded National Championships May 1-2.
