USC Baseball Drops Series Finale, 8-4, at No. 18 Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – The USC baseball team dropped the series finale at No. 18 Arizona on Sunday afternoon, falling 8-4 to the Wildcats.
 
The Trojans fall to 18-16 overall and 6-9 in Pac-12 play, while the Wildcats improve to 27-11, 12-6.
 
USC and Arizona matched runs in the bottom of the first and top of the second, but the Wildcats would take the lead for good with three runs in the bottom of the second.
 
Ben Ramirez stayed hot in the game, driving in runs in the fifth and seventh innings, and Clay Owens added an RBI single in the seventh as well, but that was it for the scoring for USC. Ramirez finished the weekend with five hits and six RBI in three games.
 
Alex Cornwell took the loss for USC after getting the start, while Chandler Murphy got the win in relief for Arizona.
