Senior Leon D'Souza fired a 3-under 69 while freshman Shane Ffrench posted a 2-under 70, leading the USC men's golf team during the third round of the 2021 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships at the Mayacama Golf Club in Santa Rosa, Calif., on Tuesday (April 27).
The Trojans will head into the finale in seventh at even 1080 (356-364-360). Arizona (-29) and Arizona State (-25) remain atop the leaderboard while Oregon is third (-17) with Oregon State fourth (-16).
D'Souza is tied for ninth at 6-under 210 (69-72-69), his best 54-hole effort this season as he tries for his first top 10 as a senior. In fact, his two rounds under 70 match his season total entering the week.
He got off to a fast start with four birdies over his first seven holes and turned at 3-under. He erased a bogey on 11 with birdies on 13 and 15, finishing his back 9 at par.
Ffrench moved into a tie for 19th at 3-under 213 (70-73-70), also turning at 3-under before going 1-over on his back 9. He now has 11 rounds of par or better this season.
Senior Kaito Onishi is tied for 22nd 2-under 214 (68-71-75), posting two birdies today and closing with eight straight pars.

Junior Cameron Henry is tied for 47th at 7-over 223 (76-73-74). Sophomore Tyler Guo is 57th at 10-over 226 (73-80-73) and senior Kyle Suppa is tied for 58th at 11-over 227 (78-75-74).
USC will play with Utah and California in the final round Wednesday, starting at 7:30 a.m. off 10.
