USC Men's Golf Finishes Eighth At Pac-12 Championships

Senior Kaito Onishi tied for 22nd at the Pac-12 Championships.

Senior Kaito Onishi and freshman Shane Ffrench carded 1-under 71s while senior Leon D'Souza joined them in the top 22, the trio leading USC on the final day of the 2021 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships at the Mayacama Golf Club in Santa Rosa, Calif., on Wednesday (April 28).

USC combined for a 7-over 1447 (356-364-360-367) and finished eighth. Arizona won the team competition at 41-under 1399. The Wildcats Brad Reeves and Stanford's Henry Shimp tied for first at 16-under, Reeves winning a two-hole playoff.

French (70-73-70-71) and D'Souza (69-72-69-74) tied for 20th while Onishi tied for 22nd (68-71-75-71). Ffrench had four birdies over a six-hole stretch on his back 9 while D'Souza closed with two birdies.

Junior Cameron Henry tied for 54th at 10-over 298 (76-73-74-75), sophomore Tyler Guo tied for 63rd at 14-over 302 (73-80-73-76) and senior Kyle Suppa finished 66th at 16-over 304 (78-75-74-77).
