Three Pac-12 Men's Soccer teams set for 2020 NCAA Tournament

SAN FRANCISCO - Three Pac-12 Men's Soccer programs earned bids to the 2020 NCAA Tournament and will open action on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

The 36-team field was announced on April 19 and featured two Pac-12 programs among the top 8 seeds in No. 4 seed STANFORD (9-2-1) and No. 7 seed WASHINGTON (10-3-0). OREGON STATE (9-4-0) joined the Huskies in being among the event's 14 at-large selections.

It marks the fifth consecutive event that the Conference has sent at least half its members to the NCAA Tournament.

The Pac-12 regular-season champion and NCAA automatic bid recipient Cardinal will face the winner of Omaha/UNCG, the Conference runner-up Huskies will meet Grand Canyon and the Beavers will battle Virginia Tech in their second-round openers.

The entirety of the event will be played in Cary, N.C., and the surrounding area. Second-round action will take place May 2, the third round will be played May 6, and the quarterfinals will be played May 10.

For the first time the College Cup will feature the Division I men’s and women’s soccer national champions being crowned on the same weekend at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.  The men’s semifinals will take place on May 14 and national championship game on May 17 with all three matches being televised live on ESPNU.
