Volleyball Adds Four to the Roster

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah volleyball has added four student-athletes with three transfers and one signee for next season's roster.
 
The Utes are adding graduate transfer Stef Jankiewicz, transfers Amelia Van Der Werff and Kiley McMurtrey and signee Kamry Bailey.
 
Jankiewicz is coming from Illinois State, where she was a four-year starter for the Red Birds. She was named the Missouri Valley Conference Setter of the Year, becoming the first player in league history to earn the award twice in her career after receiving the honor in 2018. The Farmington Hills, Michigan, native ranked in the top 40 in NCAA Division I in assists (728) and assists per set (10.87). Jankiewicz has accumulated 4,808 assists in her career, which ranks third all-time in ISU program history and 13th in Valley history.
 
Van Der Werff spent her freshman season at Middle Tennessee State. The middle blocker was named to the C-USA All-Freshman team. The Leavenworth, Kan., native started all 15 matches during her debut campaign at middle blocker with a team-leading .347 hitting percentage. She was second on the team in points (180.5), second on the team in kills (149), and third on the team in blocks (36). She was named C-USA Freshman of the Week on Feb. 23.
 
McMurtrey is a defensive specialist transferring Eastern Oregon. She is a three-time Libero of the Year in the CCC. In addition to being a two-time Libero of the Year, she was also named the Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2019 and was the Freshman of the Year in 2017. McMurtrey earned First Team All-CCC Team honors in 2019 after averaging over five digs per set.
 
Bailey is an outside hitter from Boulder City, Nevada. In her 3-year career in high school, she has led her high school team to three state championships.  She has been named 3A state MVP for the past 2 high school seasons. Her club career highlights include a National Championship her Freshman year in the USA division.
 
These four will head to Utah in June to start working out with the team in preparation for the fall season.
