Incoming UCLA freshmen Jordan Chiles, Emily Lee and Emma Malabuyo impressed at the GK U.S. Classic on Saturday, with Chiles placing second in the all-around, Lee placing eighth, and Malabuyo qualifying for the U.S. Championships with a two-event score of 27.050.
Chiles hit all four routines and finished with an all-around score of 57.100, placing second behind only Simone Biles. Chiles placed second on two events – uneven bars (14.150) and floor exercise (13.950) and was fourth on balance beam (14.050). She also posted the second-highest vault score in the competition, a 14.950 on a Yurchenko double full.

Lee totaled 53.900 in the all-around to place eighth. She also placed fourth on floor exercise with a 13.800 and sixth on balance beam with a 13.700. Her other marks were 14.250 on vault and 12.150 on uneven bars.
Malabuyo competed on just uneven bars and balance beam but earned Top 10 finishes on each event, with a seventh-place mark of 13.750 on uneven bars and a ninth-place score of 13.300 on balance beam. Her two-event total of 27.050 qualified her to the U.S. Gymnastics Championships, which will take place June 3-6 in Fort Worth, Texas.
