NCAA Champs Land 16 Trojans On MPSF Women’s Water Polo All-Academic Team

May 26, 2021

USC's 2021 NCAA Champions have proven they shine in the classroom as well as the pool after a record 16 Trojans earned spots on the MPSF All-Academic Team. All boast cumulative GPAs over 3.0. The USC contingent of 16 is the second most MPSF Scholar-Athlete honorees by a team this year.

For senior Kari Jensen, this is her third MPSF Scholar-Athlete honor as the health and human sciences major wraps her USC career with a 3.38 GPA. She's joined this year on the honor roll by several other seniors with first-time academic honors, having finished out their USC careers on both academic and athletic high notes. Nina Ceklic, Denise Mammolito, Kelsey McIntosh, Holly Parker and Randi Reinhardt have all rounded out their time at Troy with academic accolades.

This 2021 group also includes three two-time honorees, as juniors Julia Rozolis-Hill, Grace Tehaney and Bayley Weber follow up their 2020 awards with another round of MPSF Scholar-Athlete status this year.

The rest of the Trojans on the honor roll are first-timers who will return to Troy next season: juniors Claire Haas and Sophia Lucas, redshirt sophomore Erin Tharp and sophomores Christina Crum, Alex Fellner, Téa Poljak and Carolyne Stern.

This year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on teams, the MPSF awarded All-Academic Team honors to all roster players who are at least a sophomore academically, regardless of participation, with 3.0 cumulative GPAs or higher.
