FORT WORTH, Texas - Future Oregon State gymnast Jade Carey finished 6th in the all-around Sunday at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships.
Carey entered Sunday's Day 2 competition in 7th place on vault and bars after posting scores of 14.700 and 13.950, respectively, on Friday. Sunday evening, Carey added a 14.550 on the vault and a 13.600 on the bars. She totaled 26.300 on beam and 26.900 on floor after the two days of competition. Overall, she finished sixth on vault, eighth on bars and floor, and 11th on beam.
She scored 54.550 in the all-around on Sunday, after notching a 55.450 on Friday, to finish sixth overall.

Carey, who signed a National Letter of Intent with the Beavers in the fall of 2017, continues her pursuit of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, postponed until 2021, and is expected to join the OSU gymnastics program in time for the 2022 season.
As part of the Team USA Champions Series, the U.S. Championships determines the women's U.S. champions and the U.S. National Team. The U.S. Championships is also part of the selection process for the U.S. Team for the Tokyo Olympics in July.
With her sixth-place finish, Carey has qualified to the U.S. National Team for the fourth straight year.
