GREENSBORO, N.C. – Postseason accolades continue to roll in for California baseball, which had three Golden Bears named to the 2021 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-West Region teams on Wednesday.

Leading the way was outfielder Dylan Beavers, who landed a spot on the 19-person All-West Region First Team. Senior infielders Darren Baker and Quentin Selma earned All-West Region Second Team accolades as well. All eight ACBA/Rawlings All-Region squads can be viewed here.

Beavers – who was named both an All-American (third team) and a freshman All-American (second team) by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) this week – established himself as one of the Pac-12's bright young stars in his first full collegiate season in 2021. An All-Pac-12 First Team selection, Beavers led the conference in home runs (18) at the conclusion of the regular season and slashed .303/.401/.630. The left-handed batter led Cal in multiple statistical categories, including RBI (49), doubles (11), runs (44) and walks (32), and was one of just two Pac-12 players with 10-plus home runs and 10-plus stolen bases at the end of the regular season.

Baker, an All-Pac-12 First Team honoree this spring, wrapped up a decorated collegiate career with his most impressive season. The senior second baseman posted career-highs in batting average (.327), runs (40), hits (73), stolen bases (28), walks (28) and on-base percentage (.402) while starting all 55 games for the Bears. Baker reached base safely in 54 of 55 games, had 22 multi-hit games and was eighth nationally in stolen bases at the end of the regular season.

Selma, another All-Pac-12 First Team selection, led all Pac-12 players with 11 home runs in conference play. His 15 total home runs were tied for the third-most, while his 47 RBI and 43 runs ranked 11th and 15th in the conference at the regular season's end. While manning the hot corner defensively, Selma anchored Cal's lineup primarily in the No. 4 spot, slashing .291/.368/.544.

The ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams are voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America Committee, which is chaired by Tommy Raffo of Arkansas State University. ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-American teams will be announced on Saturday, June 19.
