Finals Ready

OMAHA, Neb. – Daniel Roy's breakout season continues.

The rising senior advanced to the finals of the 200m breast at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, and he will race for a spot on the Olympic team tomorrow night. Roy finished sixth in the semifinals with a time of 2:09.57, Wednesday at the CHI Health Center. Roy also had the fourth-fastest mark in the prelims with a 2:10.47 during the morning session.

In the 800m free, Grant Shoults placed 15th with a time of 8:02.92 in the prelims to conclude his trip to the Olympic Trials. Luke Maurer was 24th in the 100m free (49.57).

Stanford will be represented on Thursday in the prelims of the 200m IM and 200m back, as well as Roy's appearance in the final of the 200m breast.
