Impressive Thursday

OMAHA, Neb. – Three Stanford men's swimmers advanced to the evening session for the Cardinal's best day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Thursday at the CHI Health Center.

Alex Boratto and Rick Mihm advanced out of the morning session to reach the semifinals of the 200m back and 200m IM, respectively, while Daniel Roy raced the finals of the 200m breast.

Roy finished seventh in the 200m breast with a time of 2:11.87 to punctuate a remarkable junior season.

In the 200m IM, Mihm finished 14th in 2:00.69 – an improvement on his 15th-place showing in the prelims. Boratto went 2:03.29 – 2:00.71 in the prelims – to finish 15th in the 200m back.

The Cardinal will be represented on Friday in the 100m fly.
