Wildcats Representing Four Different Countries at FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup

TUCSON, Ariz. – When the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup gets started tomorrow (July 3) in Latvia, four current members of the Arizona men's basketball program will be participating – three student-athletes and one staff member.
 
Azuolas Tubelis will be competing with Lithuania while Bennedict Mathurin will be playing with Canada and Oumar Ballo is the captain of the team from Mali. And Ken Nakagawa, who serves as the Director of Advanced Scouting for the Wildcats, will be a video coordinator for the Japanese team.
 
Canada, Lithuania and Japan are all in Group A along with Senegal while Mali is in Group D with the United States, Turkey and Australia.
 
The tournament runs from July 3-11 in the cities of Daugavpils, Latvia and Riga, Latvia. Complete schedule and tournament information can be found at FIBA.basketball.
