Four UW Women Named To Pocock All-America Teams

Jul 12, 2021

Four members of the Washington women's rowing team have been named to the Pocock All-America teams, announced today by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

Tabea Schendekehl (Dortmund, Germany) and Ella Cossill (Gold Coast, Australia) were named to the first team, while coxswain Nina Castagna (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Teal Cohen (Dallas, Texas) earned second-team All-America.

All four were regulars in the Washington varsity eight in 2021, when the Huskies won a fourth straight Pac-12 Championship and finished third at NCAA Championships. Schendekehl also earned Pocock first-team All-America in 2018 and was a CRCA Scholar-Athlete honoree this year. Catagna, Cohen and Cossill were all named to the All-Pac-12 team, with Cossill earning Pac-12 Women's Rowing Athlete of the Year.
