Six Utes Recognized As ITA Scholar-Athletes

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah women's tennis team tied its program-record of six student-athletes earning a spot on the ITA Scholar-Athlete team for the 2020-21 academic year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday morning.

Along with the six athletes earning individual honors, the women's tennis team as a whole earned an ITA All-Academic Team award after posting a combined grade point average of 3.20 or above for the academic year. This year's team award marks the sixth-straight as a program.

Emily Dush, Anastasia Goncharova, Katya Hersh, Anya Lamoreaux, Madison McKay and Madison Tattini pulled in this year's ITA Scholar-Athlete selections for Utah. Tattini became a three-time honoree, while Dush, Goncharova and McKay became two-time selections. Making an appearance for the first time were Lamoreaux and Hersh.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have a grade point average of a 3.5 or above for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
