Jul 25, 2021

TOKYO – Grace McCallum and the U.S. women's artistic gymnastics team advanced to the Tokyo Olympic team final after finishing second place in the qualification round. Also competing early Sunday morning was MyKayla Skinner, where she ended her Olympic run with a stellar all-around performance.

McCallum was a steady force for Team USA, finishing 13th in the all-around (55.165) with all four scores counting toward the team score. She had a stellar vault (14.533) for Team USA, while placing 16th on floor (13.466) and 22nd on bars (14.100) in her Olympic debut.

Skinner competed as an individual during Sunday's qualification and posted the fourth highest vault score (14.866). Due to the two-athlete per country rule, she did not advance to the event final despite the outstanding effort. Along with her vault performance, the former Red Rock finished 11th in the all-around (55.398) and was 14th on floor (13.566) to highlight her final competition.

McCallum and her three fellow members of Team USA will look to medal in the team final on Tuesday, July 27 at 4:45 a.m. MT.
