Arizona Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Volleyball has released its full 2021 schedule, announced on Friday.
The Cats will open the season with the Cactus Classic on Aug. 27-28 at home in McKale Center. Arizona will then head to New Mexico State (Sept. 3-4) and Texas (Sept. 10-11) for two away tournaments before returning home to host the Wildcat Classic on Sept. 17-18.
Arizona will travel to Arizona State to kick off the Pac-12 schedule on Sept. 23 on the Pac-12 Networks. Arizona will have 12 of its 20 Pac-12 matches televised on the Pac-12 Networks, six of which will be home matches, including two matches against NCAA Tournament teams UCLA and semifinalist Washington.
After visiting Arizona State, the Cats will host Oregon State before heading to Cal and Stanford on Oct. 1-3. Arizona will return home to host four-straight matches against Washington, Washington State, UCLA, and USC. Arizona will wrap up the first half of the season on the road against Colorado on Oct. 22 and Utah on Oct. 24.
The second half of the conference schedule will open at home with Stanford on Oct. 29 and Cal on Oct. 31, followed by a trip to the Washington schools on Nov. 5-7. Arizona will host Utah and Colorado, then travel to USC, UCLA, and Oregon from Nov. 19-24. The Cats will host the final match of the season against Arizona State on Nov. 27.
The Wildcats return four starters plus their libero from last season, including the reigning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Sofia Maldonado Diaz.
