Tres Tinkle On Los Angeles Lakers Summer League Roster

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Tres Tinkle was announced as one of 14 players to make the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League roster.
 
The team will open competition in the California Classic Summer League at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The Lakers will play the Miami Heat at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3 and the Sacramento Kings at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
 
The MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 will take place Sunday, Aug. 8 through Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV.
 
The 16th annual MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games apiece during the 10-day, 75-game event. After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the Championship Game on Aug. 17.
 
The Lakers begin the NBA Summer League against the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8.
 
Tinkle finished his Oregon State career first all-time in scoring (2,233), third in field goals made (739), tied for second in 3-pointers made (185), first in free throws made (570), eighth in free throw percentage (.788), second in rebounding (882), tied for eighth in assists (374), fifth in steals (196), second in games started (110), second in minutes (4,284) and sixth in double-doubles (27).
 
He also set the Oregon State records for consecutive games scoring in double figures (96) and consecutive free throws made (35).
 
Tinkle was selected to the All-Pac-12 First Team in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and earned the Pac-12's Tom Hansen Conference Medal Winner in 2020.
