2021 Schedule Unveiled for Utah Cross Country

Aug 18, 2021

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah cross country and track & field head coach Kyle Kepler unveiled the 2021 cross country competition schedule Wednesday and features five in-state meets, including the 2021 Pac-12 Championships hosted by the Utes.

The Women of Utah will get things going in a few weeks as they head down I-15 for the Utah Valley Invitational on Friday, Sept. 3. Utah last ran in this race back in 2019, placing third behind then freshman Grace Burnett's top-10 finish. Karli Branch and Ellie Lundgreen rounded out the top-15 for the Utes, checking in at 11th and 12th respectively.

Utah then flies up to the Pacific Northwest for the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 23, hosted by fellow Pac-12 foe Oregon.

This time around, Utah will head north on I-15 as it races in the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invite hosted by Utah State on Friday, Oct. 8.

The Utes will then make the trek out to Tallahassee, Fla., for the FSU Invite/Pre-Nationals meet (Oct. 15) and get a first-hand look at the course that will play host to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 20 – which is hosted by Florida State at Apalachee Regional Park.

Utah then returns home to host a pair of meets starting with the annual Utah Open on Thursday, Oct. 21, before welcoming in members from the Conference of Champions for the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 29.

Should the Utes qualify, they won't have to go too far for the NCAA Mountain Regionals with it being hosted by BYU on Nov. 12.
