Coach Farr-Kaye Announces Women's Golf Schedule

Aug 18, 2021

TEMPE, Ariz. - Sun Devil Women's Golf Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye announced the program's 2021-22 schedule.

Arizona State faces another challenging campaign that will help prepare them for a National Championship run. Coming off an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals where they advanced all the way to match play, the Sun Devils look to build off the successful run. With several key contributors returning from last year's squad and the addition of a talented newcomer, there is plenty of excitement brewing around the Women's Golf program.

No stranger to constructing difficult schedules, Coach Farr-Kaye has once again designed a slate to ensure her team is ready to compete at the highest level. ASU has ten regular season events scheduled before the season wrapping up with the Pac-12 Conference Championship, NCAA Regionals, and NCAA Championship.

"We have a very good schedule ahead of us this year," Coach Farr-Kaye reflected. "We will be competing with the top teams all over the country every week!"

FALL SEASON
ANNIKA Intercollegiate – September 13-15 (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Kicking-off the 2021-22 campaign in style, the Sun Devils get an early test by competing in the 2021 ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The 54-hole stroke play event is held annually at the Royal Golf Club in Minneapolis, and features 12 of the top Division I women's programs in the country. ASU is joined by defending National Champion Ole Miss as well as perineal powers Duke, USC, LSU, and Texas for the Intercollegiate which is held Sept. 13-15.

"The ANNIKA Intercollegiate is our opener at a great golf course with a Top-10 field," Coach Farr-Kaye remarked.

Nicklaus Cup – October 4-5 (Columbus, Ohio)
The Sun Devils will head back to a familiar place when competing at the Nicklaus Cup, which takes place Oct. 4-5. The tournament is in Columbus and named after Barbara Nicklaus, the wife of golfing legend Jack Nicklaus. It is also the same city where Arizona State finished second in the 2021 NCAA Columbus Regional. Instead of playing at Ohio State's home course, the Maroon & Gold will play at Murfield Village Golf Club.

Stanford Intercollegiate – October 15-17 (Stanford, California)
Later in the month, Arizona State enters the Stanford Intercollegiate as the defending champions. Back in 2019, Coach Farr-Kaye's team earned an impressive victory over a loaded field at Stanford Golf Course. The Stanford Intercollegiate runs Oct. 15-17 and includes several of the top Pac-12 programs.

Pac-12 Preview – November 1-3 (Kona, Hawaii)
To finish up the Fall season, the Sun Devils take their annual trip to paradise from Nov. 1-3. ASU will be participating in the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club in Kona, Hawaii. Located on the island of Hawaii, the tournament offers great views and tremendous competition. It is a great opportunity for the Pac-12 teams to gauge where they are at, with a majority of the conference making the trip in addition to the University of Hawaii.

"When we get to the end of the season we get to come back to Grayhawk Golf Club for the NCAA Championship," Coach Farr-Kaye exclamied. "We look forward to a great year!"
