Mirkovic Named Preseason All-Pac-12

Aug 18, 2021

SAN FRANCISCO - California senior outside hitter Mima Mirkovic has been named to the Pac-12 preseason All-Conference team, the league announced on Wednesday morning.

Mirkovic is set to return to the court after earning 2019 AVCA All-Region and All-Pac-12 honors in the gym, before competing with the Golden Bears' beach volleyball program during the spring 2020-21 season.

The Irvine, California, native led an experienced 2019 Cal team with 325 kills and a 3.28 kills per set average, while finishing second on the squad with 289 digs as a six-rotation pin hitter.

Mirkovic was named the AVCA National Player of the Week on Oct. 21, 2019 after recording back to back double-doubles, including 19 kills and 20 digs against Colorado. She led the team with 13 double-doubles on the season.

The Bears were picked to finish 10th by the conference's coaches in the 2021 preseason poll.

Cal begins its third season under head coach Sam Crosson on Aug. 27 against Alabama A&M at the Tulane Tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana.
