Aug 19, 2021

PULLMAN, Wash. – A full season of competition awaits the Washington State men's golf team in 2021-22, as fall tournaments return this season after the Cougars were limited to just six spring tournaments a season ago. The 2021-22 slate gets started Sept. 20-21, as the Cougars will play in the Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington.

In total, WSU will play in 11 tournaments during the 2021-22 season, as announced by WSU men's golf head coach Dustin White, who is entering his sixth season as Washington State's head coach. The Cougars will play in five tournaments in the fall, while six events will take place during the spring.

"We're looking forward to having everyone together and getting to work," said White. "The strides we made in the spring were pretty significant and showed the guys what we're capable of. Their summer play has been solid and we have a great schedule set up for the fall. We'll keep the focus on us and what we can control. I'm really excited to see the competitiveness of this group and where that takes us."

The Cougs tee off the fall portion of their schedule with the Husky Invitational Sept. 20-21 at the Gold Mountain Golf Club. The Cougs will close out the season at the 2022 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship, which will be held April 25-27 at the Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Washington.

After its season-opening tournament, Washington State will take a short one-week break before playing in three tournaments in October. The Cougars begin the month with a trip to South Bend, Indiana to play in the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame, Oct. 4-5. Washington State heads back to the Pacific Northwest the following week to participate in the Oregon State Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Course in Corvallis, Oregon. WSU closes out October with a trip to Stockton, California to play in the Visit Stockton Invitational, Oct. 21-23. The Cougs end the fall at the Saint Mary's Invitational, Nov. 8-10, at the Poppy Hills Golf Club in Monterey, California.

Washington State opens the spring portion of their 2021-22 schedule in the desert at the Arizona Intercollegiate, hosted by Arizona, Jan. 24-25. Washington State takes to the Hawaiian Islands Feb. 17-19 to play in the John Burns Intercollegiate, hosted by Hawaii. WSU heads back to the mainland March 6-8 for the Bandon Dunes Championship at the Sheep Ranch Golf Course in Bandon, Oregon. The Cougars close out the month of March at The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course, March 6-8, before their final tune-up before the Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship at the PING Cougar Classic, hosted by BYU, at the Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah on April 22-23.

The 2021-22 regular season will conclude at the 2022 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship, which will be hosted by the University of Washington this season. The Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship will take place April 25-27 at the Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Washington.
