Women’s Basketball Announces Non-Conference Slate, Season Ticket Info

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah women's basketball head coach Lynne Roberts announced the 2021-22 non-conference schedule that includes eight games in the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
 
The Utes get started on Friday, Oct. 29, with an exhibition game against Westminster College. The last time these two met was on Oct. 31, 2019, when the Utes came away with an 88-58 victory improving to 5-0 in exhibition games in the Roberts Era.

Utah opens the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 10, when they host Lipscomb. It will be the first meeting between the Utes and Bisons. Following the contest against Lipscomb, Utah hosts Xavier (Nov. 13), Saint Mary's (Nov. 16), and Cincinnati (Nov. 19). It will be the second meeting in program history against Xavier and Cincinnati, with the first meeting coming during the 2019-20 season. The Utes and Gaels haven't met on the hardwood since the 2017 season.
 
The Utes hit the road for the first time for the University of Hawaii Tournament hosted by the University of Hawaii. Utah opens the tournament against Gonzaga on Friday, Nov. 26, who went to the NCAA Tournament team last season.
 
Utah plays tournament-host, Hawaii, on Saturday, Nov. 27, before closing out the tournament against Eastern Illinois a day later. It is the first meeting since the Duel in the Desert Tournament in 2018. The Utes hold a 6-0 record against the Rainbow Wahine. It will be the first-ever matchup against the Panthers.
 
Following the University of Hawaii Tournament, the Utes return home for three straight games. On Saturday, Dec. 4, the Utes host in-state foe Brigham Young University. BYU went 19-6 last season and went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Utah holds a 66-40 advantage in the all-time series, including a 33-12 mark at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
 
Cal-State Fullerton comes to the Huntsman Center for the first time since 1985 on Dec. 10. The Utes host Utah Valley on Dec. 18. Utah Valley earned the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament last year for the Western Athletic Conference.
 
Utah closes out its non-conference slate on Dec. 21 when they head to Norman, Oklahoma, to face Oklahoma for the first time since 2003.
