Bruins to Face UConn in Never Forget Tribute Classic
Newark, NJ – UCLA Women's Basketball is set to face off against UConn in the Never Forget Tribute Classic presented by United Rentals on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The nationally-televised matchup is set to tip off at 10:00 a.m. PT on ABC.
The Never Forget Tribute Classic is a premier collegiate basketball event that will feature a women's and men's double-header for the first time, as UConn Men's Basketball will take on St. Bonaventure at 12:30/1:00 p.m. PT on ESPN 2 following the showdown between the Bruins and Huskies.

The Matchup
UCLA and UConn are set to square off in the seventh all-time meeting between the programs. The Huskies secured a narrow, 69-61 victory over the Bruins back in 2019 in the most recent showdown between the teams during the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. Japreece Dean led the Bruins with 16 points and three assists while Michaela Onyenwere put up eight points and a game-high 15 rebounds. The Bruins are coming off a 17-6 campaign in 2020-21 that saw them advance to the Pac-12 Tournament championship game and earn their fifth-straight NCAA Tournament berth. The Huskies finished last season 28-2 and advanced to the Final Four before losing to eventual national runner-up, Arizona.
