Mauri Takes Third, Six Finish Top-50 as XC Opens Season

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Sun Devil Cross Country kicked off the season Saturday morning with the 40th Annual UC Riverside Invitational in Riverside, Calif. Head coach Patrick Henner led six runners to top-50 finishes, with four veterans notching collegiate personal-best marks. Vincent Mauri led the pack with a third-place 23.44.8 finish in the men's 8K, 37 seconds behind Fresno Pacific's Patrick Kiprop. ASU's men finished sixth out of 26 overall, and the women took 10th out of 24.
 
The Sun Devils next race is October 2nd in Tucson where ASU will compete at UA's Dave Murray Invite.
