Dribble for Victory Over Cancer Set for Sunday

LOS ANGELES – Alongside new partner the V Foundation, UCLA Athletics, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) and the Cancer Research Program at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA return to the UCLA campus Sunday, Oct. 3 for Dribble for Victory Over Cancer. SEIA returns as the National Champion Sponsor for the 14th installment of this fight to end childhood cancer, which will again feature appearances by the Bruin men's and women's basketball teams.

Registration is NOW OPEN. Those looking to participate can do so in person, or virtually, using the PCRF Kids mobile app. The adult, in-person cost is $25, while the adult, virtual rate is $30. The prices for children (aged 12 and under) are $15 and $20, respectively. Each participant receives a personalized fundraising page, access to the PCRF Kids app, an event t-shirt and a goodie bag.

Dribble festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. PT with day-of registration, check-in, giveaways and other activities. The approximately one-mile-long course opens at 10:15 a.m., following a short welcome ceremony. Student-athletes from a number of UCLA Athletics programs will encourage participants along the way. The men's and women's basketball teams will join finishers at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom, where awards and prizes will be presented and autographs signed.

Individual fundraising prizes include a Dribble for Victory Over Cancer basketball at the $150 level, a Nike UCLA hat at $250, four tickets to a UCLA men's basketball game and four tickets to a UCLA women's basketball game at $500 and a Nike basketball autographed by UCLA basketball student-athletes and coaches at $1,500.

Participants 12 years old and over will need to provide proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test dated within 72 hours before the event or proof of medical/religious exemption at the time of check in. Those 12 years old and under should remain masked at all times, indoors and outdoors. All Dribble participants, regardless of vaccination status or age, will be required to wear masks indoors when entering Pauley Pavilion. Dribble for Victory Over Cancer face masks will be provided to attendees.
