Pac-12 Unveils TV Schedule for Men's Basketball

SAN FRANCISCO – The TV schedule for the 2021-22 Utah men's basketball season was unveiled by the Pac-12 along with its other institutions late Wednesday morning the league announced.

Pac-12 Conference controlled broadcasts include:

  • 144 on Pac-12 Networks (including eight Pac-12 Tournament games)
  • 42 games on ESPN Networks
  • 22 on FS1 (including two Pac-12 Tournament games)
  • 3 on CBS
  • 3 on FOX (including the 2022 Pac-12 Tournament title game)

 Additional appearances will be made through other conference television agreements and various in-season tournaments to bring the current comprehensive broadcast total to more than 220 events.
 
Of the 29 regular-season games for Utah this season, 24 will air on the Pac-12 Networks, an ESPN linear network or FS1. Meanwhile, of the remaining five games awaiting TV selection four stem from the non-conference slate –two games at the Sunshine Slam, vs. TCU and at Missouri. The second half of Utah's conference slate will see the Utes on national television at least four times with the Arizona State game at home still to be determined.
 
The season and home-opener is set for a 6 p.m. (MT) tip-off against Abilene Christian on Pac-12 Networks while its in-state rivalry match against BYU is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, on Pac-12 Networks. First-year head coach Craig Smith will then make his Pac-12 Conference debut on the road as the Runnin' Utes battle the Trojans of USC at the Galen Center on the Pac-12 Networks at 9:30 p.m. (MT) Wednesday, Dec. 1. Utah then returns home to entertain Cal at 3 p.m. (MT) on Sunday, Dec. 5, before resuming non-conference action.  
 
Utah kicks off its full Pac-12 Conference schedule away from home and play Oregon State at 7 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Dec. 30, before spending NYE in the EUG to face off against the Oregon Ducks on New Year's Day at 8:30 p.m. (MT) tip-off. Both games against the Beavers and Ducks will air on Pac-12 Networks.
 
The Runnin' Utes will play in their first nationally televised conference game on Thursday, Jan. 20, when they welcome in last year's Final Four participant UCLA for a 9 p.m. (MT) start on FS1. Oregon State, the reigning Pac-12 Tournament Champions, come to Salt Lake City for a 7 p.m. tip-off on either ESPN2 or ESPNU that Thursday, Feb. 3, before Oregon comes to town on Saturday, Feb. 5. Tip-off between the Utes and Ducks has yet to be finalized but will air on FS1.
 
Stanford then travels to the Jon M. Huntsman Center for an ESPNU game at 9 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Feb. 17. Utah's next game on national TV the following week will see it welcome in first-year head coach Tommy Lloyd as the Utes and Wildcats square off on Thursday, Feb. 24, for another 9 p.m. start on FS1.
 
The Utes wrap up the regular-season on Saturday, March 5, with Colorado at 7 p.m. (MT) on ESPNU inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center before taking off to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Conference Tournament (March 9-12) at T-Mobile Arena.
