Four Ducks Kick Off 2021-22 Season at ITA All-American

EUGENE, Ore. – The 2021-22 season begins today for four members of the University of Oregon's men's tennis team, with the ITA All-American at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. Juniors Joshua Charlton and Ivailo Keremedchiev, sophomore Jesper Klöv-Nilsson and freshman Quinn Vandecasteele will represent the Ducks.
 
In singles play, Klöv-Nilsson and Keremedchiev are scheduled for the pre-qualifying rounds (Oct. 2-3) with Charlton and Vandecasteele entered in the qualifying bracket (Oct. 4-5). They will be competing for spots in the main draw (Oct. 6-10).
 
The Ducks duo of Charlton and Vandecasteele start the season ranked No. 12 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings, and are entered in the doubles main draw. Klöv-Nilsson and Keremedchiev sit at No. 55 in the preseason rankings are set to begin in the qualifying bracket.
 
In the preseason singles poll, Charlton (No. 90) is among the top-125 players in the country. Charlton was 13-6 in singles competition last season and 16-3 in doubles, and is a two-time ITA Northwest Regional doubles champion.
 
The next event on the fall calendar is the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, with Oregon hosting the opening rounds on Oct. 13-17, before the final rounds in Seattle on Oct. 22-25.
