USC’s Stefan Dostanic, Lodewijk Weststrate Advance to ITA All-American Singles Main Draw

TULSA, OKLA. — It's main draw action ahead for all three Trojans out at the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa. USC's Stefan Dostanic and Lodewijk Weststrate have both worked their way through singles qualifying to step into the main draws starting tomorrow (Oct. 6). Dostanic will also pull double duty with a main draw spot already on the docket for him and teammate Bradley Frye in doubles. The pair is ranked No. 17 in the nation as they set up to start main draw play together tomorrow afternoon.

The Trojan trio would combine for a perfect 5-0 day today, as Dostanic and Weststrate each picked up two wins in qualifying, while Frye was a winner in his back draw match. Dostanic recorded an impressive three-set comeback win in his second round match today to stay alive. He'd bounce back to beat Tennessee's Shunsuke Mitsui 1-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5 and  then issued a straight-set win over Holden Koons of JMU in the third round to punch his ticket to the main draw. Weststrate, meanwhile, served up two straight-set wins today, topping #102 Alex Martinex of Oklahoma 6-2, 6-2 before posting a 6-2, 6-4 win over VCU's Rayane Stable.
