Ducks Open Fall at Husky Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's tennis team kicks off its fall schedule at the Husky Invitational, Friday through Sunday. The Ducks will play matches against DePaul, Portland State, Washington and Washington State over the three days in a hidden dual format, playing select singles and doubles matches against the other four schools in the event.

Friday
12 p.m. - Doubles vs. DePaul
1 p.m. - Dobules vs. Washington
2 p.m. - Singles vs. Washington State

Saturday
9:30 a.m. - Singles vs. Washington
12 p.m. - Doubles vs. Washington State

Sunday
9 a.m. - Singles vs. DePaul

The Ducks return Uxia Martinez Moral as well as a trio of others entering their third collegiate seasons in Lillian Mould, Myah Petchey and Ares Teixido Garcia. Martinez Moral went 14-6 in 2021 in singles play and 11-4 in doubles, playing primarily at the No. 1 spot in pairs play. Petchey and Mould have been key parts of the lineup in both singles and doubles over the last two seasons while Teixido Garcia went 4-5 in singles play in her first season at Oregon after playing her true freshman season at Alabama.

Oregon also returns Allison Mulville, who brings a 23-20 career record in doubles into the fall over her first three collegiate seasons. Additionally, the Ducks will welcome three newcomers into the program at the start of the fall in freshmen Mia Ljubas and Sophie Luescher and transfer Misaki Kobayashi. Luescher arrived at Oregon ranked in the top 150 of the ITF Junior Rankings while Kobayashi was an All-Big West performer in 2021 at Cal State Fullerton.

Following the Husky Invitational, the Ducks will compete in the ITA Northwest Regional beginning Oct. 22 in Stanford, Calif.
