Wildcats Add Transfer Blaise Biringer

Oct 8, 2021

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona announced the addition of Tucson native Blaise Biringer to the 2022 roster. Biringer is a sophomore transfer from Ole Miss and will not be eligible to compete until the spring of 2022.

"We are very excited to welcome Blaise back home to Arizona," said head coach Caitlin Lowe. "She is a very talented infielder who can play anywhere on the field. Offensively she is a true triple threat who can hit for average and power. Most importantly, she is a fierce competitor. I think she will make a great addition to our current roster, and we are so happy she is part of the Wildcat Family."

Biringer was the Rebels' starting second baseman and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2021. She posted a .337 batting average in 2021, the fourth-highest freshman batting average in the SEC. Biringer finished the season ninth in the SEC with 64 hits and led Ole Miss with 22 multi-hit games. She also hit five triples which ranked third in the SEC and 16th in the NCAA.

The SEC Freshman of the Week in week nine, Biringer also recorded 21 RBI and scored 28 runs for Ole Miss in 2021. She went 3-for-4 on stolen base attempts and had an inside-the-park home run against Central Arkansas.

Biringer will join recent transfer Bailey Thompson and four incoming freshman in addition to Arizona's 13 returning players for head coach Caitlin Lowe's first season.
