Ducks Take Four Singles Wins on Day Two in Seattle

SEATTLE – Oregon started the day with four wins in seven singles matches against Washington, winning two matches in three sets while taking the other two in straight sets to highlight day two at the Husky Invitational Saturday.
 
How it Happened: After Washington quickly put away a pair of singles victories, Uxia Martinez Moral dominated her singles match with a 6-1, 6-3 win before Ares Teixido Garcia took her match in two close sets, 7-6(5), 6-4.
 
Freshman Sophie Luescher went to three sets, winning 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 to give the Ducks three wins in singles play, before Myah Petchey came back after dropping her opening set to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.
