Ducks Dominate DePaul in Singles Play

SEATTLE – Oregon wrapped its opening weekend of the fall with six singles victories over DePaul on the final day of the Husky Invitational Sunday morning.
 
How it Happened: Sophie Luescher finished off a strong first weekend of her collegiate career with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Lenka Antonijevic, before Myah Petchey turned in another straight-sets win, 6-0, 6-4. Allison Mulville and Misaki Kobayashi each added sweep victories, with Mulville taking her match, 6-0, 6-3 and Kobayashi winning 7-6(8), 6-4.
 
Ares Teixido Garcia capped off a perfect opening weekend with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Maddie Yergler while Lillian Mould went the distance in her match, winning 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. Uxia Martinez Moral took the only loss of the day for the Ducks, falling 6-4, 6-4.
