Tabron, McDermott Named CU Athletes of the Week, Presented by Arrow

BOULDER-- Volleyball outside hitter Maya Tabron and men's golfer Dylan McDermott were named CU Athletes of the Week presented by Arrow. 

Tabron recorded career highs of 18 kills and 16 digs at Southern California in addition to four assists and a block against the Trojans. In two matches against USC and No. 16 UCLA she had 21 kills, 18 digs, four assists and two blocks. 

McDermott recorded a second top 10 finish in just his fourth college event, finishing third place at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Classic. In the last round, he had 4-under 66 to finish the tournament 7-under 203. This 203 score was the second-best 54-hole score on a Par 70 course in school history, behind only Beau Schoolcraft's 201 in the 2011 Wyoming Cowboy Classic. The Buffs finished in ninth at the tournament. 

Volleyball is in the midst of a four-match road swing and will head to the Bay Area to take on Cal on Friday followed by Stanford on Sunday. Men's golf will close out the fall schedule at the Kaanapali Classic in Maui, Hawaii, on October 29-31.
