Wildcats Dominate Day One

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - On the first day of competition at the Aztec Fall Invitational, the Wildcats posted a perfect record as they went 4-0 in singles matches and 2-0 in doubles to close out the first day of competition. 

Junior Nick Lagaev grabbed his fifth win of the fall season against Judson Blair of SDSU in straight sets, while he and his partner Jared Horwood took care of business in a dominant doubles win over Brodney/Ciszewski from UNLV. Horwood would also pick up a singles win against William Lan of UCSD for his third fall win. 

Sophomore Jett Middleton earned his first fall win in both singles and double, pairing up with Conner Olsen to take down Hambrook/Navarro from UNLV. Olsen would pick up his third singles win of the fall season with a tough three-set victroy over Phillip Lan of UCSD. 

The Cats will start with doubles tomorrow at 9 a.m. MST and move to singles following the completion of doubles.
