Katherine Muzi Leads USC Women's Golf Through 36 At Stanford Intercollegiate

Katherine Muzi has fired back-to-back sub par rounds for the first time as a Trojan.

Senior Katherine Muzi backed up her opening 70 with a 69 today while sophomore Brianna Navarrosa fired her second straight 70 to pace the USC women's golf team during the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday (Oct. 16).

The Trojans combined for a second-round 5-over 289 and stand at 3-over 571 (282-291) through 36 holes, tied for sixth, ahead of Sunday's 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Host Stanford enjoys a double-digit lead.

Muzi is tied for eighth at 3-under 139 (70-69) after posting back-to-back rounds under par for the first time as a Trojan. She posted a pair of nine at 1-under each today with five birdies.

Navarrosa is tied for 11th at 2-under 140 (70-70) after her second 1-under to start the tournament and her third round under par this season. She went out at 1-over today but finished at 3-under including birdies on two of her final three holes.

Freshman Xin (Cindy) Kou is tied for 18th at par 142 (68-74) with two birdies in her second round.

Sophomore Michaela Morard is tied for 70th at 13-over 155 (79-76), her second nine today coming in at 1-over. Sophomore Christine Wang is tied for 73rd at 14-over 156 (74-82).
