Jackson Rivera 68 Paces USC Men's Golf Second Round In Georgia

Jackson Rivera fired a 4-under 68 on Saturday, his second round under 70 in his last three outings.

Freshman Jackson Rivera fired a 4-under 68 to vault into the top 20 and lead the USC men's golf team during the second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate on Saturday (Oct. 23) at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta.

USC, a two-time winner of the event, is tied for 12th after 36 holes at 5-over 581 (287-294). Pepperdine leads the event at 26-under 550.

Rivera, USC's top finisher in the first three events this fall, leads the Trojans again and used a blistering start to climb into a tie for 15th at 3-under 141 (73-68). He opened with a 4-under front 9 with four birdies and mixed two bogeys and two birdies on the back.

Freshman Gavin Aurilia is tied for 25th at 1-under 143 (70-73). He went out at 1-under thanks to birdies on 8 and 9 and came back at 2-over, finishing with a birdie on 18.

Junior Tyler Guo (71-78) and senior Alex Ross (73-76) are tied for 61st at 5-over 149 while senior Jack Boulger is tied for 68th at 8-over 152 (75-77).

The tournament concludes Sunday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
