Gallagher Shines On First Day Of Thunderbird

TEMPE, Ariz. - The first day of the Thunderbird Classic saw Sun Devil Women's Tennis pick up some wins in singles and doubles, highlighted by Sedona Gallagher going undefeated.

The format of the tournament sees eight singles playing a full match and three doubles playing just one set. Arizona State earned two singles wins from Domenika Turkovic and Gallagher. On court seven, Gallagher won in a competitive three-set match. In doubles, Patricija Spaka and Turkovic won 7-6 while Ghallagher and Giulia Morlet cruised to a 6-3 win.

The team is back in action on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. MST, running back the same schedule with singles in the morning and doubles at noon.
