Ducks Cap Fall Championships in Seattle

SEATTLE – The men's tennis doubles team of Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele advanced to the second round of the main draw in the ITA Northwest Super Regional this weekend, while Vandecasteele battled his way to a spot in the quarterfinals of the singles draw.
The No. 1 ranked pair in the tournament dominated in their first match, defeating Portland (Hibi and Yoshida) 8-1. Charlton and Vandecasteele found themselves up against a tough opponent in the second round, falling 8-4 to Stanford's Basing and Sah.
Vandecasteele dropped his singles 7-5, 6-0 to Clement Chidekh (Washington) at 11:30 a.m. PT on Saturday after a pair of wins in the first and second rounds of the tournament.
