Women’s Tennis Signs Reece Carter

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wildcats landed their first recruit of the season as Reece Carter signed her NLI to join Arizona in the fall of 2022.

The daughter of Dwayne and Danya Carter, she had an ITF ranking as high as 179 while also bringing home three tournament wins in both singles and doubles. Carter hails from Victoria, British Colombia, where she was an honor student in all four years of high school, she was awarded the 2019 Canadian Sport School Leadership award.

On why she chose Arizona, Carter said, "the University of Arizona is rated A in both academics and athletics and has a strong men's and women's tennis team. They were welcoming and supportive with my tournaments and training and were eager to have me." Carter has always been a competitor in multiple sports, as she was also on the national team for golf.
