USC Women's Volleyball Flies North For Match-Ups with Ducks and Beavers

LOS ANGELES – The USC women's volleyball team (10-13, 6-8 Pac-12) sets out for the Beaver State and has two matches to wrap the road portion of its regular-season schedule. The Women of Troy meet No. 17 Oregon (18-6, 9-5) for a Friday-afternoon (Nov. 12) match in Eugene, Ore., and then head up the interstate to Corvallis to take on Oregon State (4-20, 2-12) for a Sunday matinee. Both matches will be streamed live on the Pac-12 Networks' Insider platform. The Trojans are 10-1 in the state of Oregon since 2015 and need to grab two wins to stay in the hunt for a postseason berth.

  • USC is under the direction of second-year head coach Brad Keller who has also served as an assistant coach for the USC men's volleyball team.
  • Gr. OH Brooke Botkin was named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team and ranks ninth in the Pac-12 in kills (3.60 kps) and 10th in points (4.00 pps).
  • Sr. S Raquel Lázaro ranks eighth in the Pac-12 for service aces (0.31 saps).
  • Fr. MB Tyrah Ariail started the Trojans' last 12 matches and ranks seventh in the Pac-12 for hitting percentage (.360). Gr. MB Candice Denny (.345) and Gr. MB Sabrina Smith (.335) rank ninth and 10th respectively.
  • USC is 5-6 in road matches this season and holds a 56-12 all-time mark in the state of Oregon. In the last six years, the Trojans have gone 2-0 in the Beaver State four times (1-0 in 2017) and suffered its only loss last spring at OSU.
  • The Women of Troy are 28-5 all-time in Eugene and 28-7 in Corvallis.
  • USC is 55-17 all-time with Oregon but has lost four straight (all home five-setters) to the Ducks, matching the longest streak in series history (1986-87).
  • The Trojans are 59-10 all-time with Oregon State and have won 11 of the last 12 meetings since 2015. The only loss came in Corvallis on Jan. 29, 2021.
