Women’s Tennis Closes Fall Slate this Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Women's tennis is headed to San Diego State University for the San Diego State Fall Classic and UNLV for the Jolene Watanabe Classic. Both classics will take place all day Friday, Nov. 12, through Sunday, Nov. 14. 
 
At the Jolene Watanabe Classic, Utah will be one of seven teams set to match up. The Utes will play Friday in the Doubles Quarterfinals, followed by the Singles Quarterfinals. On Saturday, all players that won their matches from the previous day will participate in the Doubles Semifinals, followed by Singles Semifinals. Sunday, the players who have remained undefeated will head to the Doubles Final, followed by Singles Finals.
 
Women's tennis previously played in an SDSU tournament during the 2019 fall slate. They participated in the SDSU Fall Classic at the end of September that season. 
 
The Utes last played in the ITA Regionals on October 13 - 17. The team started strong, finishing off the first day nearly undefeated. Linda Huang advanced to the quarterfinals and ultimately to the semifinals.
