Women’s Basketball Heads to the Rainbow Wahine Showdown

THE GAME
The University of Utah women's basketball program hits the road for the first time when they head to Honolulu, Hawaii, to participate in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown hosted by Hawaii. The Utes will play Gonzaga (Nov. 26), Hawaii (Nov. 27), and Eastern Illinois (Nov. 28).

HOW TO TUNE IN
The game against Gonzaga will have live stats provided on UtahUtes.com. Fans can also tune into 105.5 KOOL FM and listen to play-by-play announcer Tyson Ewing calling the shots. On Saturday, when the Utes take on Hawaii, the match will stream on ESPN+, and Tyson Ewing will have the call on 105.5 KOOL FM. Sunday's game against Eastern Illinois, fans can tune into 105.5 KOOL FM to hear Tyson Ewing on the call.
 
THREE-POINTERS
• Senior point guard Dru Gylten picked up four assists in the game against Cincinnati and now has 421 for her career, which moves her to 7th place on the all-time career assists list at Utah. Karen Alcorn holds sixth place on the all-time list with 440.    
• In the latest edition of the WBCA Coaches Poll, the Utes were receiving votes.
• Utah heads to Hawaii for the first time since the 2019-20 season for three games as part of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown. Utah is 7-2 in games played in Hawaii since the 2000-01 season. 
• The Utes offense is explosive this season. They are averaging 95.2 points per game, second-best in the country, and 12.2 three-pointers per game, fourth-best in the NCAA. 
• Utah has hit eight or more threes in 65 games under the direction of Lynne Roberts, going 48-17 in those games.
  
NEXT UP
Following the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, the Utes return home to the Jon M. Huntsman Center to take on Brigham Young. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. MT. Fans who wear RED will get in FREE.
 
TEAM NOTES
• Utah has hit eight or more threes in 65 games under the direction of Lynne Roberts, going 48-17 in those games. Utah has three games this season with 8+ made from the three, including two with 14+ (19, Lipscomb, 11/10; 14, Xavier, 11/13).
• Utah set a single-game school record against Lipscomb when they hit 19 threes. The previous record was 16 made three-pointers against Colorado on Jan. 17, 2020.
• Utah's offense is the second-best scoring offense in the nation. They are averaging 95.2 points per game. Besides scoring, Utah ranks fourth in the nation in made threes per game, as they average 12.2.
• Utah opened the season with back-to-back 100-point games. This was only the second time in program history that Utah scored 100 or more in back-to-back times. The first time this happened was during the 1978-79 season.
• This will be the Utes fifth trip to Hawaii since the 2000-01 season, and they have played nine games. Utah is 7-2 in those games.  
• For the first time since the 2010-11 season, Utah will be playing on three straight days. The last time Utah played on three consecutive days was during the Caribbean Challenge.  
• Brynna Maxwell has scored double-digits in 37 of her 56 career games, including three times this season. She has scored 740 points over her three years at a Ute. Maxwell has hit five or more threes in two games this season for Utah.
