#3 Schultz Collects Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week Honors

Nov 30, 2021

SAN FRANCISCO - For the second consecutive week a Sun Devil has earned Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week honors. No. 3 heavyweight Cohlton Schultz earned the accolade for the second time in his career after going 4-0 at Wyoming's Cowboy Open Saturday where he earned two pins and a 6-1 victory over No. 8 Brian Andrews.

Schultz never allowed his opponents to earn more than a single point, and he opened the day with back-to-back pins before topping No. 104 Terren Swarts 2-1 and eighth-ranked Andrews. Schultz is now 8-0 on the year and has five pins to his name which ties him with fellow heavyweights Luke Davis (Campbell) and Grady Griess (Navy). Steven Kolcheff (Missouri) leads the country with eight HWT falls. Schultz is also one of seven ASU starters who has yet to lose a single match this season.

The Sun Devils have some time off before their next competition - Journeymen Wrestling's National Duals Dec. 20-21 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. More details are coming soon, but the duals will be available to watch live via Rokfin.
