Beavers Fall To No. 11 Arizona

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jarod Lucas scored 17 points, with five 3-pointers, but Oregon State was unable to slow down No. 11 Arizona in a 90-65 loss on Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.
 
Warith Alatishe added 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots and two steals for the Beavers (1-8, 0-1 Pac-12). Dashawn Davis started at point guard and finished with eight points and nine assists.
 
Oregon State newcomers Ahmad Rand and Glenn Taylor Jr. both came off the bench and had eight and seven points, respectively.
 
The five triples by Lucas ties his career and is the fourth time he's knocked down five from deep in his career. He also had five rebounds and two assists.
 
Arizona (7-0, 1-0 Pac-12) had four players score in double figures, led by Bennedict Mathurin's 29 points.
 
Oregon State will play its next seven games at Gill Coliseum, beginning with Sacramento State at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
