Bears Open Homestand Against Idaho State

Jordan Shepherd and the Golden Bears open a four-game homestand Wednesday night.

BERKELEY – California jumps back into non-conference play Wednesday as it hosts Idaho State at 7 p.m. PT in Haas Pavilion. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks and is the first of four consecutive home games for the Golden Bears.
 
Cal (4-5) has won four in a row at home, including a 73-61 victory against Oregon State on Dec. 2, but most recently fell short on the road at Utah, 66-58, on Dec. 5. Idaho State (1-7) has lost seven consecutive games dating back to Nov. 12.
 
All fans 12 and older attending the game will be required to show proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination and a photo ID prior to entry.

  • Cal's four-game home win streak dates back to Nov. 15. The Bears have bested San Diego, Southern Utah, Fresno State and Oregon State.

  • Cal is 4-0 this season when it dishes out 10-plus assists, including a season-high 16 vs. San Diego (Nov. 15) and 12 against Oregon State last Thursday. Joel Brown leads the team with 2.9 assists per game.
  • Kelly (16.6), Shepherd (14.6) and Grant Anticevich (11.7) are averaging double figures in scoring. Shepherd has scored 56 points in his past three games while Anticevich has seven double-figure performances and two double-doubles in nine games played.
