Softball Announces 2022 Schedule

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil Softball has officially released its 2022 schedule, as announced by head coach Trisha Ford and the Pac-12 Conference office on Wednesday.
  
The Sun Devils will be scheduled to play 51 total contests, including a 24-game conference slate and 18 non-conference matchups. ASU is slated to play 29 games in the confines of Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium. 
 
No television selections have been determined at this time, which could further affect the dates and times of this schedule.
 
Season tickets are available for the 2022 season starting at $130 and can be purchased here. All-Session passes for each home tournament will go on sale to the public on Thursday, Dec. 9. Please contact the Ticket Sales team for questions or to purchase at 480-965-5812.
  
The Sun Devils will open the 2022 campaign on Feb. 10 as hosts of the annual Kajikawa Classic in Tempe. Those five games are the first of 10 scheduled home contests for Arizona State to open the season at Farrington Stadium. 
 
Kajikawa hosts Cal Baptist, Oklahoma State, Missouri State, Purdue, Utah and Duke (Feb. 10-13). The Sun Devils face the Lancers before the Pokes on Friday, Feb. 10 to open the tournament. 
 
The home stretch continues on Thursday, Feb. 17 as hosts of the annual Littlewood Classic at Farrington. ASU will host Minnesota for the opening night of the tournament at 6 pm. 
 
Littlewood Classic hosts Cal, UTEP, Illinois State, Portland State and Minnesota (Feb. 17-22).
 
ASU hits the road for the first time in 2022 as they head for Texas to participate in the University of Texas Tournament. Over the course of three days, the Sun Devils will play five games against opponents UTSA, Texas, Tulsa and Texas State (Feb. 25-27). 
 
The following weekend (March 4-6) the Sun Devils will head to Fullerton to participate in the Judi Garman Classic. In three days, ASU will face Kansas, Loyola Marymount, Seattle and Texas A&M.  
 
Back in Tempe, ASU will host a joint-tournament shared with Phoenix Valley team, Grand Canyon, dubbed the GCU-ASU Classic. The Sun Devils take the diamond against BYU (March 10), Ball State and Missouri State - Kansas City (March 11),  New Mexico State and Rutgers (March 13) and a single game on Sunday morning against New Mexico to wrap up the final tournament before Pac-12 play.
 
ASU will host Marist College for a midweek game on Tuesday, March 15 with a time TBD. 
 
ASU will open Pac-12 play at home on March 19 against Oregon State. It will then travel to Tucson for the annual Territorial Cup series beginning March 25 to close out the first month of games. 
 
The Sun Devils will continue their road series at Oregon (April 8) before returning home to host Utah (April 14). 
 
For three consecutive conference series, the Sun Devils will face the California schools to round out their Pac-12 action. ASU will travel to Palo Alto for a series at Stanford (April 22-24). The Sun Devils host back-to-back home series with Cal (April 29-May 1) and UCLA (May 6-8).
 
To close out the regular season, the Sun Devils travel to Seattle for a series at Washington. 
 
Television selections will be announced by the Pac-12 in the coming weeks.
