Bears Race Past McNeese, 102-60

BERKELEY – Cal raced out a 10-0 lead inside Haas Pavilion against McNeese on Saturday afternoon and never looked back, rolling to a 102-60 win in the Golden Bears' last outing before final exams.
 
In surpassing 100 points for the first time during Charmin Smith's tenure as head coach, Cal (7-2) also forged its largest margin of victory since a 106-44 decision over Cal State Northridge on Dec. 30, 2015.
 
The Bears led, 22-9, after one period and were up, 48-20, at the halftime break.
 
Jayda Curry and Dalayah Daniels paced Cal with 17 points apiece, while Michelle Onyiah tossed in 16 and Evelien Lutje Schipholt had 12. In all, 11 Bears scored during the game.
 
Cal returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 18, when the Bears host Cal Poly at 3 p.m. at Haas Pavilion.
