SEATTLE -- The Washington baseball team announced its 2022 schedule on Tuesday, featuring a season-opening trip to California, two first-time opponents and six conference series to be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Huskies open their season on February 18th with a three-game series in San Luis Obispo, Calif. against Cal Poly. After its series with the Mustangs, UW will make the trip south for a midweek game at UC Riverside on Tuesday evening. The Huskies will wrap up their California road swing with a four-game set against UC San Diego, marking the first time the two programs will play one another.
After a midweek contest at home against Gonzaga, UW welcomes another first-time opponent in Yale to Husky Ballpark for four games. That series with the Bulldogs wraps up the early non-conference portion of the schedule for UW, who then launch into Pac-12 play at Utah.
In conference play, Washington will host Washington State* (3/18-3/20), Arizona (4/1-4/3), Oregon* (4/14-4/16), Stanford (4/29-5/1) and UCLA* (5/6-5/8).
The Pac-12 road slate for the Huskies will be Utah (3/11-3/13), Arizona State* (3/25-3-27), California* (4/8-4/10), Oregon State (4/22-4/24) and USC* (5/13-5/15).
Washington will wrap up its regular season with a four-game series at home against Northern Colorado.
For the first time, there will be a Pac-12 Baseball Tournament*, which will take play in Scottsdale, Arizona from May 25-29 and will feature the top eight teams in the league standings.
