Ducks Play at Northwestern Tuesday

Oregon will play its final game before beginning Pac-12 play when it closes out its Midwest road trip with a matchup at Northwestern Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT. The Ducks will look to bounce back from a 68-56 loss at Kansas State on Saturday and go into the holiday break on a winning note. The two teams have split the two all-time meetings, with Oregon winning the last game between the two programs, 68-63, in Evanston on Dec. 1, 1991.

ALL HANDS ON DECK
Oregon's depth has been put to the test through the first 10 games, as every healthy player on the roster has gotten a chance to contribute. Eight different Ducks have tied or led the team in scoring in a game, while 10 of the 13 on the roster have turned in at least one double-digit scoring game. Oregon has also had at least six different players score in double figures in a game twice this season (Dixie State, McNeese). Just eight Ducks have played in all 10 games while UO has been without three players who averaged double-digits in scoring last season over the majority of the first 11 games. Three who have played in every game are averaging at least 12 PPG in Sydney Parrish (12.5), Sedona Prince (11.8) and Ahlise Hurst (11.5)

GETTING HEALTHY
After going without a number of players during the early part of the season, Oregon has begun to get some of those players back over the last few games. Endyia Rogers made her UO debut at Kansas State after missing the first nine games with an injury, while Nyara Sabally returned against the Wildcats after being sidelined for seven of the previous eight with an injury. Rogers scored 14 points in 30 minutes off the bench on Saturday while Sabally played just 18 minutes in her first game back. Additionally, Taylor Hosendove saw her first action of the year on Dec. 11 after being granted a waiver by the NCAA to play as a two-time transfer. The Ducks have also been without All-Pac-12 guard Te-Hina Paopao for nearly the entire season.

GETTING IT DONE AT BOTH ENDS
The Ducks currently rank among the nation's leaders in both field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense. Oregon is one of three teams in the top 15 in the country in both categories, tied for 15th in field goal percentage (46.8 percent) and tied for 14th in opponent field goal percentage (33.9 percent). The Ducks are also the only team in the Pac-12 currently ranked in the top three of the league in both shooting and field goal defense, ranking second in field goal percentage and third in opponent field goal percentage.

KNOCKING 'EM DOWN
Oregon has shot the ball well from the field through the first 10 games and ranks among the national and Pac-12 leaders in the category. The Ducks tied for second in the Pac-12 and tied for 15th in the country shooting 46.8 percent from the field and have shot 43 percent or better on field goals in eight of the first 10 games. The Ducks are also second in the conference and tied for 25th nationally in three-point shooting at 36.9 percent. 

» One of four teams in the country to shoot at least 60 percent from the field in multiple games this year. 
» Shot 61 percent from the field vs. Idaho State in the opener and 60.5 percent against McNeese on Dec. 13.

DEFENSE GETS IT DONE
Through 10 games, Oregon has been one of the best teams nationally in field goal percentage defense, ranking tied for 14th in the country allowing teams to shoot 33.9 percent from the field. The Ducks are third in the Pac-12 in opponent field goal percentage and have have held teams under 40 percent shooting in eight of the 10 games. Additionally, the Ducks have held 10 of their 11 opponents to under their current season average in field goal percentage.  

SCHERR SKILL
Following the plethora of injuries Oregon has suffered early on, Maddie Scherr has been forced to shoulder a heavy load for the Ducks. Scherr has stuffed the stats sheet over the first eight games, averaging 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists while playing 29.4 minutes per contest. Scherr is currently second in the Pac-12 in assists per game and is one of just two players in the league averaging at least 3.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. The sophomore is coming off of a career-high scoring performance at Kansas State, where she finished with 16 points on 4-of-8 three-point shooting while dishing out six assists.

ROGERS MAKES DUCK DEBUT
After missing the first nine games due to injury, Endyia Rogers saw her first action of the season at Kansas State. The transfer from USC played 30 minutes off the bench and scored 14 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out five assists. Rogers scored 11 of her 14 points in the second half, including nine in the fourth quarter. 

WATSON WORKING INSIDE
Sophomore Kylee Watson has upped her production in her second collegiate season, averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Watson has made her first collegiate start earlier this year and has started eight of the last nine games. She leads the team and is fifth in the conference shooting 62.1 percent from the field.
